Wave Rock Weekender is an annual boutique music and film festival held near Hyden, Western Australia in late September each year.  I co-created and co-produced the event with Supersonic Enterprises for 12 years.

Running since 2006, this limited capacity regional camping event employs a unique blend of community co-creation and intricate program curation to present a finely balanced cultural, natural and social experience.  It brings together city and country folk in a special place of spectacular natural beauty, and achieves a very light environmental impact.  People who come as artists, workers, and punters all respond by being really nice to each other and creating a wild, carefree, relaxed, intimate celebration together.

My work included concept creation, film + music curation + production, recruitment + leadership of a team of 100 staff + volunteers, workshop programming, event management, systems development, logistics, marketing, sponsorship, grant applications, risk management + compliance, ticketing, contracts + revenue management, environmental performance management, community consultation, stakeholder management, heritage, Aboriginal liaison and cultural protocols.
